• Flea & Heartworm Preventative will also be available.

Proceeds directly benefit Cactus Ranch’s Memorial Garden.

Round Rock ISD students will return to school on Tuesday, August 24th. Cactus Ranch Elementary school hours are 7:45am to 2:45pm. Walsh Middle School hours are 8:15am to 3:30pm. Please adhere to the posted school zone speed limits and watch for children as they walk/bike to and from school. Also remember that cell phone usage in designated school zones is prohibited.

The Behrens Ranch Back to School Party will be Saturday, August 21st, 6 to 8pm, at the Amenity Center. There will be lots of games with school prizes for the kids, a bounce house, free popcorn and snow cones!

The community swimming pool will be closed Tuesday, August 3rd for repair. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

The Board of Directors has authorized a series of improvements for the running trail on FM 3406.  The exact date of implementation will depend on discussions with the city of Round Rock because some of the improvements will be on the city owned open space and will involve tree trimming.

The improvements approved by the Board include:

• Fence line clearing – the area under and behind the split rail fence will be cleared of new growth saplings and a buffer of approximately ten feet will be mowed.
• Tree groves near the intersection of FM 3406 and Sam Bass – the two groves that are currently overgrown will be cleared of all vines and cedar trees leaving the hardwood trees to mature.
• Trail surface – the crushed granite will be supplemented, tapped in, and cleared from washed out areas.

The Behrens Ranch Annual 4th of July Parade will be held on Saturday, July 3rd. (Please note the change in date from previous years, as the 4th actually falls on a Sunday this year). Starting time is 8:30am from the Amenity Center. Round Rock Fire and Police should be there to lead our parade. Donuts, drinks and gifts for the kids will be provided. So come on out, dressed up in your USA best, and celebrate the 4th with your neighbors!

HOA Quarterly Meeting scheduled for June 23, 2010 has been postponed. Please continue to check this space for the new date.

During the planting of the summer color, the sprinkler system has been set to water more frequently than usual. With the new plants established, the system is being programed to water MWF during the overnight hours. All landscape zones should be completed by 6:00 a.m. Any residents observing sprinklers operating during the day are asked to call CMA (339-6962) to report the malfunction.

The Amenity Center is scheduled for repainting on June 21-22. For those two days residents will not be able to reserve the Amenity Center for inside activities.
