Stranger Danger Presentation – August 29th 6:30pm 0

Posted on August 20, 2007 by Mike

With school just around the corner, and many children walking to and from school, as well as playing outside, it is the perfect time to remind our children of the “stranger danger.”

A special presentation with Round Rock PD has been scheduled on Wednesday, August 29, from 6:30 to 7:30, at the Amenity Center.

Sgt. David Pierce will give a 5 minute introduction, show a 20 minute video, and do a Q&A after the video. This will allow our children to hear this important information from a uniformed authority figure, not just Mom and Dad!

Vandalism – A message from the Advisory Committee 0

Posted on August 15, 2007 by Mike

Neighbors, during the overnight hours of Monday, August 13, 2007, we had some significant vandalism at the pool and pool area. Pool furniture was thrown over the fence resulting in several pieces being damaged beyond repair, several chairs were thrown into the pool, tables and chairs were turned upside down on the deck of the pool, and trash cans were overturned.

This is the most serious of several events that have occurred over the past several weeks. The Advisory Committee has been in touch with the Round Rock Police about this latest situation and we will continue to seek the individual(s). We are not sure if these are individuals from our neighborhood or not. Over the past week, members of the AC have observed several teenagers attempting to enter the pool after the 10pm closure time.

The AC would like to remind every resident that each time there is a situation like this it costs us money to repair or replace the damaged items. We would also like to ask each of you that have teenagers or young adults to remind them that the pool closes at 10pm and that vandalism like this will not be tolerated and when caught we will prosecute these individuals (and parents if they are in fact minors) to the full extent of the law.

If anyone has any information or might have observed anything that could help solve this incident, please contact the Advisory Committee at ac@behrensranch.org.
